Terms of service
Last updated September 14, 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Searchspace (“we”, “us”) for using the Searchspace website and service. By using it you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
What Searchspace is
Searchspace lets you describe a topic and have an AI model build an interactive space of related points and links, which you can then explore, edit through chat, expand, save, and share. It is provided as is, and we may change, pause, or discontinue any part of it at any time.
Who may use it
You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under the age of majority where you live, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms on your behalf. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for everything done through your account.
Your content
You own what you put in: your prompts, uploaded documents, and the edits you make. You give us a licence to store, process, display, and transmit that content only as needed to run the service for you, including sending it to the AI and search providers described in our privacy policy, and showing it to anyone you share a space with. The licence ends when you delete the content, except for copies in routine backups and for spaces others have already viewed through a link you shared.
Only upload material you have the right to use. Do not upload content that is confidential to someone else, that infringes anyone’s rights, or that is unlawful.
AI-generated content
The points, links, descriptions, and answers in a space are generated by AI models and by automated web research. They can be wrong, out of date, incomplete, or biased, even when they cite a source. Searchspace is a tool for exploration, not a source of record. Check anything that matters against a primary source, and do not rely on it for medical, legal, financial, or safety decisions. Generated content is provided without any warranty of accuracy.
To the extent we hold any rights in generated output, we assign them to you. Because the same request can produce similar output for other users, we cannot promise that output is unique to you.
Acceptable use
Do not use Searchspace to:
- break the law, or infringe or misappropriate anyone’s rights;
- generate content that harasses, defames, threatens, or sexually exploits anyone, or that promotes violence or self-harm;
- attempt to access other users’ accounts or data, probe or disrupt the service, or circumvent rate limits, usage caps, or access controls;
- scrape the service, resell it, or use automated means to make requests beyond ordinary personal use;
- misrepresent generated content as authoritative fact or as the work of a person when it was not.
Usage limits
To keep the service available to everyone, we apply rate limits and daily usage caps per account and per device. Signed-out use is limited to a small trial. We may change these limits at any time.
Sharing
When you turn on link sharing for a space, anyone with the link can view it. You are responsible for what you share. We may remove shared spaces that violate these terms.
Third-party services
The service depends on providers we do not control, including AI model hosts, a web search provider, hosting, and authentication. Their availability affects ours. Signing in with Google is also subject to Google’s terms.
Our property
The Searchspace software, design, name, and wordmark are ours. These terms do not give you any right to them other than to use the service as intended.
Ending things
You can stop using Searchspace at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or end your access if you violate these terms or if we discontinue the service. Sections about content, disclaimers, and liability survive termination.
Disclaimers
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that your saved data will never be lost. Keep your own copies of anything important.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service or from any content generated by it. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim (currently nothing) and US$50. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, in which case they apply to the extent permitted.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of [State], United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the courts located there, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim locally.
Changes
We may revise these terms. We will update the date at the top and, for material changes, notify you in the app. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the new terms.
